Psicoterapia Cognitivo Conductual Aplicada al Estrés Postraumático Causado por Abuso Sexual Infantil en Mujeres Adultas

El abuso sexual infantil es un grave problema de salud pública; las estadísticas reportan su alta prevalencia alrededor del mundo, siendo las víctimas mayormente mujeres. Además, se identifica el bajo índice de denuncias realizadas en torno a este tema. En este contexto, se realizó una revisión bibliográfica que tuvo por objetivo presentar la mayor evidencia disponible de la eficacia de la Terapia Cognitivo-Conductual, para el tratamiento del Trastorno por Estrés Postraumático en mujeres adultas víctimas de Abuso Sexual Infantil. La búsqueda de artículos científicos se realizó mediante las bases de datos de PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Scielo y Redalyc entre 2005 y 2021. Se encontró un total de seis ensayos clínicos, cuyos resultados demuestran que la aplicación de técnicas cognitivo-conductuales disminuye la sintomatología relacionada con el estrés. Sin embargo, aspectos identificados como la escasez de estudios recientes, el empleo de muestras pequeñas y la aplicación de este modelo terapéutico conjuntamente con otros tipos de terapias, así como la carencia de protocolos de atención a esta problemática, limitan la posibilidad de generalizar estos resultados.

Abstract

Child sexual abuse is a severe public health issue. Statistics have reported the high rate of prevalence around the world, mostly female victims. Additionally, a low index of lawsuits made on this subject was identified. In this context, a bibliographic review was carried out, which aimed to show evidence of the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy for post-traumatic stress disorder treatment in adult women victims of Child Sexual Abuse. The research of some scientific articles was carried out using PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Scielo, and Redalyc databases from 2005 to 2021. A total of six clinical trials were found, which show that the application of behavioral-cognitive techniques reduces stress-related symptoms. Nevertheless, aspects identified as the scarcity of recent studies, the use of small samples and the application of this therapeutic model with other types of therapies, and the lack of protocols of attention to this problem have limited the possibility of concluding these results.
